On Shahid Afridi’s birthday, Shoaib Akhtar pokes fun at him.

Shoaib Akhtar, a former Pakistan fast bowler, poked fun at his old partner Shahid Afridi while wishing him a happy birthday.

Akhtar wished Afridi a happy birthday in a tweet that he tagged him in.

“Ab toh sahi wali bata day lala,” Akhtar said following the wish, asking the former Pakistan captain to give his true birth date (tell the correct one, now).

Throughout his career, the former Pakistan captain’s date of birth has sparked a lot of debate. Now that Afridi has retired, Akhtar has taken advantage of the chance to inquire about his true date of birth.

Afridi praised his former friend and stated, “Time is running brother,” shortly after Akhtar posted.

Afridi, however, revealed in his autobiography “Game Changer” that he was born in 1975, according to Espncricinfo. However, according to the paper, Afridi did not mention a month or day in the book.

However, according to the journal, if Afridi was born in 1975, he is “possibly five years older than what he is: official sources, including ESPNcricinfo’s player biography pages, put his date of birth as March 1, 1980.”
