KARACHI: On Tuesday, gold prices in Pakistan rose by Rs600 per tola, to Rs124,800, in line with the international market.
The price of the precious metal increased by Rs515 per 10 gramme, settling at Rs106,996 per 10 gramme.
During the week that concluded on February 4, the yellow metal had lost Rs1,900 per tola in the local market.
While investors await further data this week to see how aggressively the US Federal Reserve will hike interest rates, the international gold price moved higher by $5 to close at $1,818 as mounting inflationary pressures and fears about Ukraine kept the precious metal in demand.
However, when compared to the gold pricing in the Dubai market, the gold prices in Pakistan is roughly Rs1,000 lower.
Meanwhile, silver prices in India stayed constant Monday at Rs1,450 per tola and Rs1,243.14 per ten gramme.
